Central UMC Children's Activities
Children's Church - For Pre-K age children. Story and play time.
Children's Worship- Grades K-2nd Grade. Children are excused from 11:00 Worship Service to take part in a visual Bible story each Sunday. Bible stories are presented through carved Biblical figures as the "story-teller" draws the children into wonder and worship through this instruction method. Their worship time also includes music and activities.
Sunday School Classes offered for children- all ages- Sundays from 10- 10:45 am.
Wednesday afternoon Children's activities include:
Wonderful Wednesday's at Central!- This is a weekly Christian program that offers children an opportunity to leard about God, the Bible, and their relationship with Christ. There are special activities and focus units, as well as snack time and recreation time. This is for kids K-5th grade and will run for 10 weeks beginning October 1, 2008. Children are picked up by our church bus at the elementary schools to be transported to the church.
Children's Choir and Hand Chimes: For children 1st grade -5th. Following Pioneer Club 5-5:45pm.
Summer Vacation Bible School - for children ages K-5th grade. Offered each June or July for a week.
Children's Church Camp - our children can choose from several options and weeks each summer at Camp Dickenson in Fries, VA. This is always a hi-light in our kid's lives!
